MacOS PaperCut Deployment

You can deploy the PaperCut package through SimpleMDM but, it will not update/modify config files to point PaperCut users to the correct page. The user computers will not be able to find available printers otherwise and will just show a blank screen. The 'After Install' script seciton in SimpleMDM does not seem to work for this. So, in order to get around this, we have to create a custom mobileconfig through iMazing Profile Editor. There's a profile payload specifically for PaperCut. Use print.bsd.k12.or.us as the server host and 9174 for the port. See the screenshot below.

Save the mobileconfig and upload it in SimpleMDM under: Configs>Profiles>Create Profile>Custom Configuration Profile. Save it and tie this profile to the Group that deploys PaperCut. This prevents PaperCut from overwriting the Server Host config profile on the user's machine every time.
