How to Check-in a Chromebook (BAM)
- Open the Bethel Asset Management (BAM) and log in - https://assets.bethel.k12.or.us/
- On the left sidebar, select "Assets" and then select "Quick Scan Checkin" near the bottom of the list
- Select the location
- Start checking the devices in by scanning the asset tag or the serial number if they don't have an asset tag
- If the device does not have an asset tag put it in a separate stack to be tagged later
How to test a Chromebook
Wear gloves when testing Chromebooks
- Check all ports for damage/debris
- Power the device on
- Connect the charger and ensure the devices charges by looking for the charging icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Ensure the camera is working when the Clever badge sign-in screen appears.
- Sign into the device and follow this link to test keyboard, speakers, and microphone.
- If all functions worked pass the device to the cleaning table.
- If the device does not pass the above test, place it in a bin to be returned to IT at the end of the day.
How to Clean a Chromebook
Wear gloves when cleaning Chromebooks
- Hydrogen Peroxide spray on the body (Spray with Rag)
- Use Screen Mom on the screen (Spray with rag)
- Clear the bevels of debris using a pick
- Wipe the charger
- Wrap the charger up
- Remove tape from Charger
- Separate by model
End of day cleanup
- Start cleanup between 3 and 315
- Sweep up the trash on the floor and put the trash in the trash cans
- Take the trash out
- Load the van with devices that did not pass testing (a tech will bring the van between 330 & 345pm)
- Secure (Lock up) devices and ensure all doors are locked
