Adding a new phone to your Bethel accounts
Microsoft:

On the day you buy a new phone: Use your old phone to go to https://www.bethel.k12.or.us/staffportal

Click on Web Mail

Log in with your firstname.lastname@bsd.k12.or.us address and password.
- Click on your profile picture in the top right corner

Click on View account
-
Under the Security Info tab click Update Info.

On the next screen, click Add sign-in method

Then click Microsoft Authenticator.
On your new Android download the Microsoft Authenticator app:


Android
On your new iPhone download the Microsoft Authenticator app:


iOS
On your old phone, click next on the popup.
Click next again.
Use your new phone to scan the QR code on your old phone.
On your old phone - the one displaying the QR code - click next.
The popup will change and show you a two-digit number
Enter that number into the prompt on your new phone, and click YES.
Your old phone’s screen should update and show you that your new phone has been added to your Microsoft account.
You can now delete your old phone from your Microsoft account. Your new one will now log you in.
DO NOT DELETE your old phone from your account until you are certain the new one has been added.
Google:

Using your old phone, go to google.com, and click sign-in.

Log in with your firstname.lastname@bethel.k12.or.us username and password.

Click on your profile picture in the corner.

Click Manage your Google Account.

Click Security on the left.

Scroll down until you see a small button that says Authenticator. Click it.

The next screen will show a box under the heading Your authenticator, click on change authenticator app.
- A QR code will appear on the screen of your old phone.

On your new phone, open the Authenticator app.

Click on the blue button on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Scan the QR code on your old phone with your new phone.

Click next on the prompt on your old phone.

Your old phone will now ask you for a six-digit code. It is in the Authenticator app on your new phone. It will be listed under a “Google” account. Enter that six-digit code into your old phone.

Your old phone should update and say that your authenticator app has been updated.

Your new phone should now be enrolled with both Microsoft and Google. Ensure that both of the accounts in the Authenticator App on your new phone are displaying a new set of six-digit numbers, every thirty seconds.
- You should now have an account in Authenticator on your new phone for both firstname.lastname@bsd.k12.or.us and for firstname.lastname@bethel.k12.or.us.
You can now factory reset your old phone, and turn it in.
