Google SSO – Access Blocked: Authorization Error
When attempting to sign into a website using Google Single Sign-On (SSO), you may encounter an error message that reads:
“Access Blocked: Authorization Error”
This typically occurs when a site is not yet approved for use by the district’s Google Workspace security settings.
What to Do
If you receive this error, follow these steps to help expedite the approval process:
- Click the “Error Details” link shown in the message.
- Copy the full URL that appears in the details (it will look like a long string containing the Google App ID).
- Paste the copied URL into your helpdesk ticket when requesting access.

📌 This URL contains the necessary Google Client ID we use to review and approve third-party applications.
